Supplying 340 major hospitals in Germany with disinfectant Henning Weigand

In the wake of the Covid19 crisis in March 2020, hospitals in Germany were in urgent need of medical supplies. Medical staff working at the forefront to fight the Corona virus was at risk of running out of disinfectants. In response to this shortage, a number of companies in the Chemicals and Energy industry has been working to set up an ethanol-based supply chain donating large quantities of emergency disinfectant to hospital pharmacies in Germany.

As part of the cross-business team making this happen, Procurement Manager Henning Weigand, is contributing to establish an ethanol-based emergency disinfectant supply chain, ensuring large quantities of ethanol are provided to these 340 major hospitals across Germany since March.
