In the wake of the Covid19 crisis in March 2020, hospitals in Germany were in urgent need of medical supplies. Medical staff working at the forefront to fight the Corona virus was at risk of running out of disinfectants. As part of the cross-business team making this happen, Procurement Manager Henning Weigand, is contributing to establish an ethanol-based emergency disinfectant supply chain, ensuring large quantities of ethanol are provided to these 340 major hospitals across Germany since March.
